Being conscious basically means being aware of what is going on around us. Daydreaming is an example of altered consciousness. Daydreaming has been defined as a dream one indulges in while awake. It includes dreams of gratified hope, ambition, a reverie or castles in the air CITATION WEd11 \l 1033 (Craighead, 2011). Further, the Webster dictionary defines day dreaming as a visionary fancy indulged in while awake.
We daydream because we are bored about something or our minds want to escape stress. It occurs when the brain is not forced to perform a task that it normally performs. People daydream more on present concerns than past concerns. Also, the more emotionally important a concern is the more we are likely to daydream about it. For instance, a broke young person with the intention of taking out a lady he loves for lunch will day dream of how happy he will be in the company of the lady once he gets the money. The most common things we day dream about are the things we care about. Things such as power, money, love, sex and success constitute topics for day dreaming. Women and men do not daydream about the same things. Women tend to daydream about relationships, kissing and flirting et al while men daydream about sex, cars or success et al CITATION WEd11 \l 1033 (Craighead, 2011).

To focus on the material in class, student should avoid multi-tasking especially using the phone in class. They should also strive to avoid distractions. They could be in the form of company or happenings out of class. Finally, they should participate actively in class and take short breaks in case they are tired.
The precise explanation of why some people sleepwalk and others do not is still unknown. It is believed to be a genetic disorder. If a member of one’s family had the disorder, then another member of the family is likely to have it. It is also common among children though temporarily. This is because most children outgrow it during adolescence. Fatigue ...
