Habit 6: Synergize, poses a challenge to the experience gained via internship and other indulgences. It can be revealed that combination of forces in a given activity is far better than working solely. Embracing the habit helps individuals to interact with one another genuinely and makes them open to the influence of their colleagues as they involve in new insights. In a working environment, the capability of the workers to invent new techniques is facilitated and increased exponentially due to acceptance of the difference and support for one another. The valuation of the differences is the key driver of synergy; thus people should always be embracing the strengths as well as weaknesses of one another and offering support for the goal to be achieved as planned. The habit suggests that individuals should be ready and willing to communicate with another freely and share their views, to have a common understanding in approaching in a particular challenge. Therefore, the experience gained changed mindset of many people, as all realized that solely, little could be achieved.
Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw refers to the preservation and enhancement of the greatest asset possessed by an individual. This implies having a well-balanced program for self-renewal in the different areas of an individual’s life including the physical, social, mental and spiritual life. Through the experience people have obtained from the different areas of work in the current world, they have realized that an individual is more effective in delivering the anticipated service once is well experienced. This implies that people to be strengthened and motivated by being provided an opportunity to have self-renewal in all the four life aspects. Once the management in an organization realizes that an individual has the desire to learn something, an opportunity should be created for the person to add more knowledge and skills important in perceiving problems with different approaches. Therefore, regardless of the profession, every individual has an opportunity for self-renewal.
