1 Cloud Based Infrastructure
Cloud-based infrastructure allows small business, start-ups and large companies to operate various applications, website and other service on an online platform. One example of a company that has perfectly integrated the use of cloud-based infrastructure in its operation is Amazon. This company provide its clients with cloud computing services by enabling then to access storage, servers, databases and a wide range of application services over the internet.
There are four major reasons why companies use cloud based services. The first reason is flexibility. Cloud based services offer an ideal opportunity for companies or business with fluctuating or growing bandwidth demand. For instant, if a company’s business needs increases, it is very easy for the company to scale up its cloud capacity. The second reason for using cloud based infrastructure is disaster recovery. It enables a company to implement backup and recovery solutions online which saves time and large upfront investment (Finnegan & carey, 2017). The third major reason for using cloud-based infrastructure is to increase collaboration in a company. It enables team members in a company to access, share and edit document anytime and anywhere.
The inbuilt application allows them to update content in real time and provide them with full visibility of their collaboration (Wasson and Saca, 2017). The last important reason for using cloud-based infrastructure is security and reliability. A person is able to access stored data in the cloud regardless of what happens to his or her machine. Similarly, he or she can wipe data remotely from lost computers so that it does not get into the wrong hands. An alternative to cloud computing is installing onsite-service at a company’s premise (Finnegan & carey, 2017). The company can set up several servers in a secure location within its premise and use the server to carry out various operations.
2 Service Level Agreement (SLA)
A SLA is a contract between a service provider and an end user/ client that defines the level of cloud-based services expected from the provider. Example of two companies offering cloud-based service are Microsoft and Amazon. Microsoft Company has Microsoft azure service while Amazon has Amazon Web Services (AWS). The service provided by these two companies can be compared based on their security, availability and privacy. In terms of security, Microsoft Azure offers a wide range of capabilities that protects a company’s data and services in the cloud compared to AWS. However, AWS is much more flexible than Microsoft azure. For instant, it is much easier to integrate a hybrid system, where a company can alternate between using onsite servers and cloud-based services, using AWS than Microsoft Azure (Wasson $ Saca, 2017). When it comes to privacy, both companies have optimized their services to ensure that user privacy is well integrated and defined in the operations. However, Microsoft Azure privacy is well integrated compared to Amazon. For instant, in Azure customs application run on virtual machines that has minimal rights therefore complicating any kind of infiltration since there implementation would require high level of privileges (Wasson & Saca, 2017).
The choice between Microsoft azure and AWS depends on the requirement of the end user. Basing our argument on the above three factors (security, Flexibility and Privacy), we see that Microsoft Azure has properly integrated these fundamental requirements in their service provision. Similarly, Azure is relatively cheaper compared to AWS for providing cloud-based solutions. Therefore, as a small -business or a start-up company, I would definitely prefer working with Microsoft Azure to AWS. I believe that choosing Azure will be cost effective for the company and also enable my operations to be secure in the cloud. However, it is important to note that there are other functions that AWS provides much better than Microsoft Azure.
3 Ethereum for Smart Contract.
A smart contract is a type of software that contain the rules and regulations for negotiating the terms and conditions of a contract. The software automatically verifies the contract and implements the terms agreed upon. Crypto-currency are widely used in smart contract. One such type of crypto currency is Ethereum. It is very possible to use Ethereum crypto currency while executing smart contracts. The First thing in this process is for the developer to write the code of smart contract in Ethereum native language. You can then upload the contract on Ethereum virtual machine to execute the smart contract code. Once it has been successfully executed, the digital asset will be distributed based on the logic terms defines in the code (Khatwani, 2017). So to answer the question, it is very possible to use Ethereum crypto currency to execute a smart code. This is because Ethereum crypto currency was a platform that was specifically build to run smart contracts.
Ethereum can be used for smart contract in real estate management, supply chain management, intellectual property rights and many more other applications. One reason why Ethereum crypto currency is used for smart contract is because it can be trusted. Every transaction and history of executed code is store...
