Argentina is one the countries with a broad history dating back from the 18th to 19th century ever since the time it was a Spanish colony, located in the Latin America region. The country has had revolutions both politically and economically, which has helped shape its history until the modern era. This evolution can be traced back to the vice-royalty institutions of Plata in 1776, followed by the events of the political group (San Martin) that were the stepping stones towards its gaining of independence, although they were countered by opposing forces in 1816 (Gascoigne 4). There have been several political leaders in the country who have contributed immensely in terms of economic, social, and political dimensions, including the reigns of Rosa and Urquiza from 1835 to 1861, with some of the political issues facing the country including the battle between the Federalists and the Unitarists, the former favoring autonomous regions while the latter demanded centralization.
