How Pixar Fosters Collective Creativity
Animated films like Coco and other Pixar productions, such as Toy Story2, Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles have the power to mimic the real world and even transcend the alure of live film action. Incorporating an interplay of technology and art to make magical things happen, the sound, color, composition, and imaginations in these films encompass all the components of traditional movies. The belief in intertwining technology and art to enhance productions enables these pieces to tell stories in a superior manner compared to conventional productions (Lauer 56). Even so, they are capable of resonating with the themes often conveyed in ordinary films, in what constitutes a show of realism. Also, given the level of collaboration among animation teams, the impulse to control the process is so overwhelming that there are minimal production flaws. In this way, they tell virtually detailed convincing tales better than the live renditions.
