Stereotypes are certain characteristics branded on a given group of individual depending on their nationality, culture, race, and sexual orientation (Bordalo, et al. 16). Although stereotypes are common in any social set-up, they should be avoided because they create division among people. Due to the generalization nature of stereotypes, they result to discrimination of a group of individual (Moose, et al. 19).
Stereotypes about How Different people Speak
Although it sounds odd to most people, majority of foreign languages appears to possess personality or a given mood in them. For instance, Germans appears to be angry in their language, Japanese nerdy and insecure. Many people perceive English language as an emotional and musical (Bordalo, et al. 16). All these differences in utterance is due to the evolution of languages.
Is there any positive side of Stereotypes?
Even though many people believe that only negative stereotypes harm, it is not the case since even positive ones do harm. The harmful effect is brought about by the limiting ability of stereotypes to individuals.

People who support stereotypes always argue that they emanate from truth, but one wonders if there is any truth in them.
