Challenges in Finding Sources for paper 3
College-level research has its problems due to the sets of requirements to fulfill the academic standards of an essay. As a student, I am restricted to using only scholarly sources that range from eBooks, peer-review journals, newspaper articles, to mention but a few. In my research, especially in paper 3, I encountered a variety of hiccups, particularly on the usage of the library database. My interest as an English literature student is, in most cases, focused on a particular field or topic. Subsequently, information about a specific topic can only be retrieved from a particular book. However, that book, in most cases, is never found within the library database, leaving me with no choice to seek alternatives that require payment to access the needed knowledge.
Similarly, it has been a big challenge for me to navigate and locate certain information within eBooks that are, in most cases, voluminous. The process is tedious and leaves me exhausted at the end. It equally makes me scared to use eBooks in my subsequent research works. Another common challenge encountered is after downloading an eBook in pdf format; I only get access to a limited number of pages, therefore, denying me vital information that is pertinent in my research.
