History is a fundamental part of any community or society. It is only through historical pieces that people learn not only about their ancestors but also more about their associations and cultural traditions and norms. Buildings are storage of history. Many countries, all over the world, attract tourists to view and learn more about their history, by visiting historical sites. The introduction of civilization and technology has led to the development of new ways and means of designing and building houses. New architectural plans have overtaken the old buildings that no longer look as a tractive as the new ones. There is a debate on whether people should destroy the old ones and replace them with the new buildings. One fact that remains is that history does not exist in modernity. It is okay to embrace the contemporary way of doing things. The modern architecture enables builders to develop houses that are not only owner-friendly but also include the aspect of green living, especially by erecting houses that allow natural light into the home.
