Picasso is known for influencing the cubist movement that revolutionized art in the 20th century. Picasso never planned most of his paintings. He simply got down to painting and allowed ideas to modify his paintings flow freely as he worked. It is this attribute of beginning to do something that at first seems impossible and then unravels ideas on how to do it in the process. In the modern world, it is important to think about solutions to given problems and to put the thoughts into actions in order to get more ideas to solve a particular problem. Many people fail to find solution to life’s problems because of their reluctance to try the simple solutions they first think about. For instance, there are writers who never discover their writing talent since they never try to write anything at all. If such individuals could ignore the challenges, they presume they will face and focus on the writing, then they probably would emerge as proficient and professional writers. I am certainly not a writer, but I get to try a lot of other things including writing. I never limit my ability to what I can or cannot do, but will go an extra mile and continuously challenge myself to learn new things and activities whenever I get the opportunity to do so. Just recently, I could hardly swim across the width of a swimming pool in the shallow end. I thought it an impossible fete to hold my breath from one end of the swimming pool width to the other. The best I could do is take a deep breath, immerse my body into the water then kick violently with both my hands and feet and, with all that effort, just manage to reach at least half of the swimming pool width. One day, I decided to learn to swim once and for all. I committed to attend swimming sessions every day when the pool was less crowded. I passionately requested the swimming pool attendant to guide and watch over me just in case to avoid drowning. Seeing my spirit and motivation, the attendant agreed to my request and instructed and motivated me every single day I took to serious learning. After a three weeks practicing period, I could not only freely swim across the width of the pool but also do it without gasp...
