Psychology
Psychology is defined as the study of thought and behavioral processes of humans and other animals in relation to their environment. People studying psychology are called psychologist. Psychologist study such behaviors as cognition, perception, learning, thinking, interactions between individuals and how they interact with the environment.
Development of modern psychology
Psychology has develop over the years. The De anima of Aristotle is seen as the first monument of psychology centered on the belief that the mental activity has its basis from the heart. The foundations of modern psychology is dated to 17th century as laid by philosopher Thomas Hobbes who argued that “scientific causes could be established for every sort of phenomenon through deductive reasoning”. Other theories such as those of Rene Descartes and Baruch contributes to the development of psychology through the human mind’s relation to the body argument.
