Wollstonecraft, Mary. A Vindication of the Rights of Woman. Vani Prakashan.
In the above mentioned publication the author states that over long periods women have been considered to be lacking moral strength which can enable them to be morally upright by themselves. But Wollstonecraft insist that women posses souls equal to their husbands and they should be exposed to same previledges, conditions and treated the same as men. The author blames men who exited during her times for rendering knowledge to women that does not make them useful members of the society. Wollstonecraft insist throughout this book that women were not only created to serve their husband and get limited exposure but be given equal chances and opportunities as men. The other uses illustrations of Jean Jacques Rousseau and Dr. Gregory to argue her sentiments relating to issues of relationship between men and women. The author insists that the connection between women and men should be friendship rather than love.

In chapter thirteen in the book entitled “Vindication of the rights of woman”, the author Wollstone craft argues that women has been main contributors to thewir oppressions by acting feminine most of the time. Women opt for crafty olutions to their problems such as visiting quack medical practitioners. The author highlights mistakes in women and mentions that thay are overwhelmed with ignorance. The writer is deeply concerned about development of women to become competent members of society and not just outstand as romantic figures in the society. Wollstone craft summarises this chapter by mentioning that some women are violent and harsh to their spouses even before the children; and argues that faults in women would have been eliminated through proper education and gender equality.
