Martin Luther King Jr, a Hero.
Martin Luther King Junior is one of the most celebrated heroes in the history of America. He is known for his fight for equality in the USA especially the rights of the black Americans. His heroic move and deeds are what led to freedom and equality of the blacks in America (King, 1999). The history clearly shows how Martin Luther was born and raised up in an environment where the discrimination and social injustices to the blacks were the order of the day.
Martin rose to champion for the rights of the blacks to an extent that he was even killed while in a rally by a lady, James Earl Ray, who was sent to terminate his life. He had survived many assassinations before he finally met his death but he never gave up to this pressure and scare. The life which Martin led was the life of a true warrior who fought for the course of his last breath. Like any hero, he left the comfort of his family zone and all the bribes he was offered with the aim of being lured to abandon his mission. His quotes, dreams, and inspirations are still fresh and most used even in the current society. The racism in USA ended because of the life dedicated mission that Martin led and fought for and to date, the legal justice system in the USA was drawn mostly from the works of Martin Luther ("The Martin Luther King Jr. Center For Nonviolent Social Change" 2018).
Most newspapers turned against Luther’s actions and termed it as misleading while the state personnel termed him as an agent of the communist who was used to disturb the economy of USA. The media houses and magazines that were owned by fellow blacks were even against the work of Martin and this was seen as a betrayal which is normally common among the heroes ("The Martin Luther King Jr. Center For Nonviolent Social Change" 2018). It is hard for a hero to be celebrated in his own home and therefore this acts of Luther being betrayed by the State House and all media houses show how much a hero he was. He continued walking for the course despite all the rejections and life threats that were channeled towards him. At some point, he was considered as the most dangerous person in the United States and even his own compatriots such as Adam Clayton Powell termed him as “Martin Loser King”. It is his work for equal rights that contributed to the election of the first black American, Barrack Obama, as the president of USA. He used his eloquence and vigor of a true hero to relay his dreams and one was that America will one day elect a black president (King Jr, 2015).
Heroic deeds of Martin is enjoyed by the black Americans even up to now where they have ventured into politics and other high profile positions such as the entertainment industry where they are performing best. All this are the results and contribution of Martin Luther who made sure that he selflessly fought for equality and increase in the democratic space of the people of black origin (King, 1999). Nothing can be done to a 100% perfection and it is not wise to say that the racism actually ended wherein it just reduced to a recommendable level.
He is a hero to many but some would argue that he is a villain. The people of white origin were totally against his activities and they never gave him much support since they used to really hate him. This is because he did not consider the number of people who were killed during the fight for black freedom and justice (Franklin, 1987). A good number of black people were killed during this freedom fights while some ended up getting lifetime injuries. The economy of the country was also affected due to mass...
