How Reading Contributes to Knowledge of Qualitative Research Process (Essay Sample)

Instructions:

This is a presentation in my class and I need to write everything from you. So I can just present it in class. Here are some discussions that you have to follow. Just make headings for everything. I will present it somehow. You can write it in essay paragraph. But just give the headings so I can know what you are for giving the answers. I have ordered 2 pages. So complete all the requirements what he is looking for. Don't forget to find the four questions from the reading and write the answers for them too. I need to ask that questions in the class. Then I have to explain their answers. Don't do the summary of article because we dont need that. My course is qualitative research methods. So everything should be according to it.
The format specifically requires the use of critical thinking skills in evaluating academic qualitative studies.
Your presentation will be evaluated according to the following:
Content (info taught to the class)
Clarity (how easy it was to understand)
Relevance to the course
Presentation format & delivery
Creativity
Your discussion should include the following:
Identification of how the reading contributes to our knowledge of the qualitative research process and discussion of why the reading might be included in the syllabus (e.g., consider how it relates to course themes, the text and other readings). In other words, your focus should be on methodological components of the study rather than on the findings and results.
Identification of how the knowledge in the reading might contribute to the research project experience. Solicit feedback from your peers on your own project ideas and experiences.
Formulation and delivery of four questions that promise to generate engaging and helpful discussion. Remember, discussion questions need to stimulate discussion; this means that they should not be questions that can be answered by yes/no.

The reading pointed out the most important aspects of any qualitative research process by fulfilling the necessary steps that would be relevant in the process. The first step the researcher did was to establish the unknown that, in this case, present the question of concern. The relationship between mental illness and the legal framework was the biggest question. The idea then gave a hypothetical situation where the guilty person gets to go free for the defense of being mentally ill. The second step would be to justify the selection of the research method. In this case, the researcher opted to use the television series Law & Order with a selected few episodes that touch on the topic question. The researchers had to prove that this was the right method of conducting this research and that it would not present a biased direction like the media has been painted to do. The collection of data through the particular method selection saw the sampling of the TV series and seven of its episodes selected for this process. The second last bit would be the analysis of the data collected through looking at all the events raised and the answers that were given to the situation presented. The final part would be the conclusion where the researchers made an agreement through the readings and the data that has been collected for the case in question.
Reasons for including the reading into the syllabus
Loopholes in the justice system concerning mental patients and crime.
The use of television series as a form of education system.
The legal bodies need to look at ways of making the whole process rectifying the loopholes in the justice system.
The use of television as a means of delivering the education system in this case criminal law.
Covering the ethical concerns
The topic that has been covered in the research is a crucial topic of discussion in criminology. The escalating number of mental patients in the world brings the question of where the law consider it an act of passion or under the influence. The loopholes in the justice system have given so many people the loopholes to get away with crime in the name of mental illnesses. To consider this a topic of discussion in a lecture hall would be an understatement. The issue should be raised legally to get the right bill to change the system in place. The presentation and the media selection is also a very interesting aspect. The choice of the most intriguing delivery system of the topic would have the system integrate an already educative system. The television is more than just entertainment as the researchers have proven. The use of this mode of delivery for all intent and purposes should be included in the syllabus if not to educate then to challenge the students to open their minds to current events. The number of mentally ill patients in the country keeps rising. The kind of treatment and medication that most people are undertaking, and yet the number of crimes committed with the defense of mental illnesses keeps on raising day by day. Ethically that is what is trending in as far as the new defense for crimes committed. What would be considered as a crime of passion is masked behind the idea of some type of sickness. Covering this aspect in class seems to be a fast way of correcting the ethical concerns that are tied to mental illness.
The knowledge's contribution to the research project experience
A guide into coming up with the right procedures in writing a research
Coming up with the right formula of picking the right data selection process.
Having the knowledge to know what to consider in coming up with the right research proposal.
The use of any article in the research proposal is a concept that many researchers find to be a very difficult choice to make. The right selection of data would translate into giving a more accurate finding. The idea of using the television as data presents that unique aspect among the researchers in question. They choose to use a medium that has been criticized on the same issue that they are researching and present the unique yet most accurate account of the research question. The steps and processes involved in the qualitative research method make the whole process exceptional and a guide in future research operations.
The questions
What conditions were considered in coming up with the right data collection process?
Considering the popularity of the television series and the effect on its viewers it seemed the right choice. The discussion and the debate that it seemed to spark among the viewers was worth considering. The issues that were being presented in the television series were real and also touched on real cases. The presentation of the issues was such that the viewers got two sides of the experience of the issue at hand. All th
