Why did you choose your particular topic and audience?
Post-traumatic stress disorder is a problem that affects many people in the United States and the world at large. Many people suffer from trauma due to several factors, among them illness, terror, loss of a close relation, among others. Many people suffering post-traumatic stress disorders and their families face many challenges managing the problem due to lack of information. The audience is the people who have post-traumatic stress disorder and the people who take care of them.
What unforeseen difficulties did you encounter while preparing your presentation?
There are many people that suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder in the US and a good number of them have not found help. It is possible that many more people are battling the condition in silence because no one has reached out to them yet.
What lessons did you learn?
I have learned that without adequate measures and control, many people, especially the veterans, are at risk and suffer in their daily lives. I have also learned that it is possible to help the people suffering from the condition by reaching out to them.
