Introduction
In the United States, the culture of adolescents is shifting from Internet use as an "extra" in the utilization of cyber (daily communication) into the most essential and indispensable medium of communicating (cyber immersion). Worth noting is the rate of connection of adolescents to the internet is 95% (Nixon). Therefore, the movement from traditional means of communication to internet communication creates a distinctive and possibly harmful force for social interactions. Generally, Cyberbullying encompasses hurting individuals through the use of communication and information technologies. For instance, internet or text message sending, posting comments on social media platforms that are disparaging, humiliating image posts, and even electronic intimidation or threatening of a person.
The most unfortunate thing is the acceptance and expectance of cyberbullying among teenagers. The intensity of cyberbullying, when compared to traditional bullying, is unique, making it penetrate quickly, reaching unlimited persons in an increase in exposure over time and space, and it can preserve images and words permanently while lacking supervision. Besides, cyberbullying perpetrators do not see their target's faces, and therefore they do not understand the actual effect of their actions (Nixon). The result is a decrease in the significant feeling of individual responsibility.
