Introduction
The outbreak of the Coronavirus has been overwhelming for people across the world, with nearly every sector of the economy being affected. The Corona pandemic outbreak brought uncertainty across the globe, including in the education sector. For example, following the outbreak of the Covid-19 in March 2020, schools were forced to close and children had to depend on online classes and coaching to further their curriculum (Rogers 854). As such, the disruption created a great impact on the student’s performance since integrating rapidly to the online platform was hard and some students were faced with making complex decisions concerning when the in-person learning shall resume. This paper aims to understand the impact of Covid-19 on higher education within the United States, which threatens the future of the learning generation. 
Effects of Covid-19 on Students
Within just a few months of its outbreak, the Coronavirus pandemic radically changed the day-to-day living aspect of people across the world, including learners. Consequently, by April 2020, billions of students across the globe were already affected by the Corona pandemic outbreak as governments issued stay a home order forcing the institutions to close down (Rogers 857). The institution’s closure has affected how students live and work since they had to adapt to learning remotely outside the school environment. Further, lack of computer literacy amongst many students and heavy workload impacted the students’ performance as they adapt to the ‘new normal’ of online learning (Lashley 12417). During the lockdown period, for example, many students complained about the outcome of their future professional careers, as well as being bored, anxious, and frustrated.
