Does it matter how we dress? In today’s society, most people, if not all, face a challenging task every day trying to decide how to dress. But it is not just dressing; it is how you dress that counts. Dressing can express our character and personality and plays a critical role in inspiring confidence. While the distinction between under-dressing and dressing is almost clear, the line separating dressing and over-dressing is debatable. Just like dressing well, over-dressing can attract success. Over-dressing can be, in this case, is dressing too formally or too elaborately. Thus, the definition of overdressing will only be true depending on the setting and the occasion. For example, showing up with a suit and tie on a casual meeting is overdressing, but in a formal meeting, it is not. Also, overdressing could refer to putting on too many clothes, for instance, putting on heavy clothes in hot weather.
