Gordon Ramsay is a television personality and chef who has established high-end restaurants across the world. He is originally from Scotland where he started out as a soccer player and played for three years before a knee injury cut short his career dreams. Gordon later on studied hotel management and worked under the wing of top chefs in Europe such as Marco Pierre White, Albert Roux, master chefs Joel Robuchon and Guy Savoy. While in London, he worked at Aubergine restaurant and helped the hotel receive two stars from Michelin. After Aubergine experienced financial hardships, Ramsey started out on his own and established Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in London. Through ambitious effort and hard work, Ramsey was able to get his hotel to three-star rating by Michelin.
The success of his restaurants beyond Europe to American was fostered by the bloom of reality shows during the year 2003. The documentaries he had filmed with a British setup were transcribed to suit an American audience such as Kitchens Nightmares, Master Chef and Master chef junior.
