Politics within a country represents the capability upon which a country operates whether in a democratic, dictatorial, or even totalitarian manner. The political systems within a country can fasten or drag a country’s economic growth. This, therefore, brings out the interdependence between politics and economics within a country.
The USA, being a developed economy, has seen a stiff political terrain in its rise to a more democratic economy. However, the country has also witnessed more resistance in recent years. With the Trump government advocating for a mask-free country in the wake of the 2020 elections and the rise of the Covid-19 pandemic, several economic implications were brought about (Pozen et al 2020). However, the ideological differences observed brought about a huge political divide as well as an infringement on the freedom of liberty.
