The report indicated that most people in the developed countries have adopted this routine. People who work for long hours are often characterized by burnout conditions. This is where one is extremely exhausted as a result of overworking. Another study argues that long working hours affect the quality of one’s life. Long working hours deny people a chance to spend time with their family and friends. Earning money through overtime work benefits the family financially. However, the argument asserts, the best life is one which considers and balances social and economic life.
