Introduction
The corona satellite program was an innovation that was made in the late 1960’s, which was aimed at providing amicable solutions to the US air forces’ predicament of intelligence and security concerns. It was a powerful machine fitted with cameras that were capable of taking photographs with very high resolution. However, its invention did not bring successful results immediately; it took them a number of unsuccessful trials till when it started to bring back readable photographs from space. The Role of the Corona
The main role of this program was to focus on specific places on earth and take photographs secretly, returning them to the intelligence team after developing the films and helping in the interpretation of the images with a bid of searching for answers to the images. This milestone helped greatly in the discovery of any launch and plans of attacks to the US territory, by getting to understand and access plans of the enemies before they are executed. The importance of this technology is paramount and cannot be overemphasized. "It helped the US army to plan well and ensure that they are not misguided into world war III."
