Task 2: Reflection on the Business Plan design activity (around 500 words)

Electric Vehicles (EV) are popular in the UK compared to Kenya my home country. The use of EVs in UK is not as popular as I had perceived. The advancement to EVs is not only because of technological trends but also concerns on environmental conservation. From an economics point of view, EVs are sustainable (i.e., they are powered by renewable sources, such as hydro energy) and the price of electricity is by order of magnitude lower than the price of fossil fuels.
I have learnt that sustainability can be approached in different ways; not only limited to CO2 emissions and renewable energy, but also social and financial sustainability (Pinedo-Cuenca, R. 2020).
I observed that the ease of recharging an EV is one of the most important factors considered when one decides to buy an EV. Time to charge an EV depends on the battery capacity of the EV and the type of charger used. (He, S.Y., Luo, S. and Sun, K.K., 2020).
The government is trying to lure people into switching to EV by catering for the cost of installation of a home charger for anyone who buys an EV in the UK. But on the other hand, the reality at car dealers is that we have more gas cars than EVs. Where are all those EVs I keep reading about?
