Numerous investment options were presented to Smith for consideration. Rustica Industries Corporation, the leading company in the manufacturing of polymer systems and industrial wire was one of these options. One of the corporation’s strength was that it boasted good management, a feature that helped propel it to making profits. It is from the activities of the managers that the corporation was able to make 136 million dollars in revenues in 2002 (Hardymon, 2002, 3). The management had plans that would enable the company grow to the tune of 158.7 million dollars in the next three years. Even though Rustica Industries Corp had shown potential growth, there were certain areas that exposed its weaknesses. One of its weaknesses was that the management had not dealt much into marketing, something that means that it might not be quick to implement changes geared to promoting marketing.
Yellowstone Cattle Bank (YCB) has several strengths. One of the strengths it possesses is that it has shown tremendous progress in terms of development. For instance, the company has been able to increase the number of merchants who act as its customer base from 45,000 from 12,000. It is from the yearly growth in the customer base that the company predicts to be having close to 80,000 merchants in 5 years time (Hardymon, 2002, 4). The other strength that the company has is that the industry is picking up. For instance, the use of credit card has increased by more than 75% in the span of five years. The use of credit card has also increased with a 5% in all the transactions that are undertaken. Despite all the strengths that YCB possessed, it had several weaknesses. One of the weaknesses is that an investor had lacked a significance influence in certain matters regarding the company. It is important to note that the company had a different kind of manner in which it undertook its transactions.
Windflower Corporation on its side contained several strengths. One of its strength is that it had proved to possess the potential of making profits.
