Low-Cost Carriers have become a viable alternative for business travellers within Brazil. The primary carriers’ pricing strategies for domestic travel in Brazil are cost and market-based fares with yield management. These pricing strategies entail corporate control of structure routes: mesh and cost of labor and quality management.
For the network carriers, revenue management is particularly critical for the various reasons. Network carriers offer more diverse point-to-point fares on each sector. Moreover, all fare types are frequently sold concurrently in different places at the identical period, thus, diluting active yield. Revenue management developed by carriers in Brazil has become equally critical for low-cost carriers.
