Statement of Scope
Over the past few decades, the fashion sector has experienced a significant growth level to become one of the leading sectors globally (Perry & Wood 2019). Based on research by James (2018), the fashion sector in the past decade recorded an estimated annual growth of 5.5% to an approximated value of $2.4 trillion. However, the fashion industry continues to raise issues for reckless practices such as exploitation of labor, substandard products, and environmental harms (Liu et al., 2020). As the sector becomes more competitive, companies in the industry are adopting unsustainable production methods to keep up with the competition, and increasing profit margins while satisfying consumer demands. In reacting to the increasing interest in sustainable business practices, consumers become more conscious of the product they consume (Liu et al., 2020). Due to this new perspective, companies, both the fashion and other sectors, are taking different measures to regain public trust and reshape public opinion. Although the industry is yet to adopt sustainable practices to reduce the global impact of fast-fashion, companies are taking different measures to attain sustainability. Therefore the research will focus on sustainability issues affecting Crocs Inc. Company and how it integrates sustainable practices to overcome the high level of damage associated with the fashion industry. Additionally, the research will explore how the enterprise can capitalize on the rising need for sustainable products.
Subsequently, the ideal type of data in this research will be secondary data. Due to the company's size, secondary data will be useful in saving time, resources, and the data is easily accessible. In the process of collecting data, different challenges may arise. The inappropriateness of the data may be an issue because secondary data may have been collected to answer another problem and be formulated in a complex way, which might raise an issue in interpretation. Secondary data required to perform the research may also be outdated, raising the issue of validity. The best way to overcome these shortcomings will be defining the research period to ensure the data is relevant and defining the research parameters to ensure the data is appropriate for the specific case.

In the case of Crocs Company, evaluating the issue of sustainability will cover the supply chain and logistics of the company. Exploring these areas of the company will improve the understanding of business processes and systems and emerging technologies in logistics. Second, the expected outcome of the study is an integration of information across disciplines and different perspectives. This research will integrate data based on different indicators, such as financial performance and insight into the level of population emerging from the fashion industry worldwide. The proposed research will use relevant data to critically analyze the fashion industry's state based on the case of Crocs Company. The outcome will have a major implication on attaining sustainability and exploiting the opportunities arising from the growing need for sustainable products.
