Abstract
Leadership style influences the outcome or performance of the subordinates in task execution. Robert House, alongside Martin Evans, developed the Path-Goal Theory to explain how a leader can direct his subjects or followers to reach an objective in 1971, but the theory underwent several modifications in the 1990s. It relates to the contingency approach, which bases on the expectancy theory of motivation. Generally, the path-goal theory explains how a leader illuminates the path to enable the subjects to visualize the objective and strive to make appropriate achievements. This paper initiates the way leaders initiate the structure and consideration, and is responsible for providing the support, information, and resources that are necessary to achieve goals.
