Good readers and writer examine their sources actively and critically. That is, they do not just make a summary of this study sources in their writing. Instead, they employ them to generate their theories, Ideas, as well developing a new understanding of the topic that they at researching at that particular time. Therefore, to be an excellent researcher and writer, one needs to be a critical and active reader.
Good writers and readers can interact with the texts they read through careful conversation, listening, writing, as well as questioning. That is, they work hard in to create such meaning. By becoming a more critical and active writer or reader, one will also become a better researcher (Gracq & Herman, 2006). Therefore, a good reader, as well as writer, generates the ideas from various fields that they come across. For instance, they can make their ideas from history through studying past studies as well as other articles done by previous writers. Also, they can submit their ideas through listening to inspirational speakers as well as music.
Brainstorming is also another major source of writing ideas. That is, it will enable an individual to think of the brilliant idea that will allow him or her write an attractive article that will be pleasing to read (Melzer, 2011). Also, newspapers, as well as other success stories, also act as primary sources of reading and writing ideas.
Therefore, Reading and writing are rhetorical processes, and one cannot exist without the other. The objective of a writer is to engage his readers in a dialog presented in the piece of writing. Similarly, the goal of an active and a critical reader is to participate in that dialog as well as have something factual to say back to the writer and others.
