The aspect of anthropology that I find interesting is the comparative method of study, which studies human behavior best when it gets the whole concept of human behavior. The comparative method of study explains how different people fair historically by explaining their differences and similarities. Comparative method of study helps one in uncovering behavioral principles that are adopted by every human community. I find the aspect interesting as it provides the reader with a reference frame that can be used to understand all life aspects in all communities.
The interrelationship between modes of livelihood and system of exchange
Although it is quite hard to generalize how system of change and modes of livelihood relate, empirical evidence shows that the economic development relates to how cultures shift away from their values and norms towards values that are participatory, tolerant, rational and increasingly trusting. For example, some of the norms and values that have to change are people having little tolerance of issues such as homosexuality, abortion and divorce while at the same time strong believers of male dominance, religion, authoritarian political systems and strong family attachments.
