JKF ASSASINATION CASE
Evidence provided in the JFK assassination case has been rated as one of the most extensive and thoroughly prepared by the police department in the history of crime detection throughout the world. The two articles by Snyder and Thomas give a critical and rational argument about the major facts that are critical for evidence support about the assassination of the American president JF Kennedy. Evidence provided in this case was used to determine the actual killer and the gun rifles that were used to assassinate the president. The first article by Dr Lemoyne Snyder gives a clear explanation of how modern technology was used to uncover the mysteries surrounding the president’s death by use of various experimental tests. The second article by D.B. Thomas criticizes the research by stating that assumptions were made during the study because random noises could also resemble gunshots. For evidence to be termed as relevant it must consider the basic underlying facts as well as incorporate logic in determining the actual cause
The nature of evidence portrayed in the article by Lemoyne Snyder is based on factual grounds and tangible evidence that allowed easy identification of the suspect. The bullet shells, documents and clothing’s obtained after the tragic shout out had to be closely examined to come up with a conclusive report. For instance the angle that the bullet was fired from was determined by mounting a camera on the murder weapon and then taking pictures through the telescopic sights. This is a clear indication that they were no room for assumption and evidence gathered would impact on the acquisition of the real position where the killer was located. Both finger and palm prints obtained from the bottom of the package were used to correctly identify the assassin Oswald and also were used to determine where the riffles had been obtained from. The doctors who operated the governor who survived the shoot out incident were able to determine the diameter of the bullet that his back and its velocity after penetrating through the presidents JF Kennedy back .however, the second article by D.B. Thomas criticizes by arguing that Dallas police departments have five impulsive sounds where one the sounds matches the echo patterns that were used to determine shot fired on JF Kennedy. Their argument is very convincing since they state that the probability of random noises which resemble gunshots would also exist. However, these probabilities were not put into consideration during the first investigation of the crime case. Use of logic is evident in this article because the author argues that regardless of the origin of the gunshot sounds occurs exactly at the same time shooting occurred. Therefore, the alleged sound asynchrony which was linked to assassination time was an incorrect assumption.
The two articles reflect on the reality of the evidence provided as well as illusion. The first ar...
