With all the upcoming trends with every season, every individual has to accept to embrace changed so as to fit in the current society. University of South Australia is one that is unlike any other fashion college that equips its students with all the necessary skills to become future fashion designers in the business market. Students had very varying dreams of either becoming as a journalist, fashion designer, of even a merchandiser; it all depends on the sole decision of the individuals. The fashion department in the university prepares the students for a very rewarding career in future (Heather 2008). Any student who has a great desire to study fashion design, is presented with the opportunity to defined fashion, bring in their innovative ideas to life and most of all exhibiting their creativity throughout their work. As a top fashion university, the academy holds a fashion shows annually with the aim of sensitizing the importance of joining this field by the students. With This fashion shows taking place, the university offers the students the chanced to gain a priceless exposure for the creativity in the fashion designs. The students will be expected to present the very current fashion trends .In addition, the university holds its fashion show not long after the admission of new students into the institution. Overall aim of the project: The main aim of this project will be to hold a great fashion show win the Australian university. The overall aim of this project is to ensure that more students get drawn to the fashion department since at that moment it is that has really been stereotyped (Tim 2006). This year the fashion show is aimed at improving the imaged of the fashion designer with an aim of attracting more students. There will be a visual progression of Designs that would feature some two runaways’ performances and a gallery of additional apparels, some accessories and some of the sculptural designs that had been made by the old students. The Alumni fashion students will also be expected to give the speeches with the hoped that they would eventually be able to convince the rest of the students to join the fashion career. Hundreds of students will be expected to attend the occasion with their families as well. This event was set to start in the afternoon and proceed to the late evening right in the culture village of the university. The afternoon would mostly be characterized by speeches from the distinguished guests the evening would be graced by numerous and exciting performances and fashion presentations from the students and even invited guests. Most of the students are planning to present the textile and Apparel .The students would be expected to have different committees that would be responsible for the shows’ creative direction, budget, the model posture, the staging presence, the gallery, the runaway, the designers of the invited guests as well as the promotions that would be happening in the course of the fashion show (Tim 2006). The fashion Committee was responsible for deciding on what theme would be dominating in the fashion shows or in any other event that would take place that night. All this would involve them in trying to look at the presentations at an earlier date than the one that a had been set aside .This would enabled them to be able to listen to the kind of music that would be playing, the pairing of the models, making sure that they looked great, and the jury body of the students was well organized. The fashion show committee has also been able to outline the major limitations of this event. First of all, the very skinny models would not be allowed to go down the runway in the university’s fashion event. The body mass of the students would really not be put to be of consideration. The only aim of the fashion show would be to promote the good body image by choosing models whose bodies match reality and reflection on the habits (Heather 2008). This would be another way of encouraging the students to join the field of fashion .the project also had its boundaries that only allowed news students to participated in the event. There was no way that one student would participate in recurring event so as to allow for new participants to enjoy the feeling of being part of the group. Objectives The project committee was able to establish some SMART objectives that would be achieved through proper planning and implementation of the fashion show. The performance of this particular fashion show was what counted in his projects so as to ensure that it would have delivered the set out guideline and rules of the whole event. The time in which this event was meant to take place would be very appropriate, since it is towards the middle of the year when students were supposed select a few subjects that they would pursue in connection to their courses. The event should also be affordable for the institution to fund so as to avoid putting so many burdens to the financed department while trying to make the whole process to be a success (Tim 2006). The third objective would be ensuring that the project does not incur unnecessary courses outside the budget that will have been made. This will be taken care of by the chosen committee. Project’s outcomes As a result of the project being undertaken, the faculty and the staff was able to bring in an element of polish to the whole organizational structure of the university. The students, who participated in the shows, were able to amazingly portray their abilities through their creativity and sharp mindedness. These students were equally the most creative and energetic body behind all this success of the show. Without their participation then the show would have been very tasteless. The students and the crowd at large were very enthusiastic and this marked the fashion show from the beginning to the end. All these observations could also bed attested by having an analysis from statistical attests. For this year’s fashion shows, the organization, roughly expected twenty students to register for the fashion show event, but to the surprise the turnout was amazing with even students from other departments coming to participate (Tim 2006). The University has also experienced a great deal of students in the school of fashion and design which has resulted from the diverse sensitization methods being used to draw more students’ into the career field. Despite the fact that the organization had not really sent out very many invitations for the fashion show event, scheduled to take placed in the University, more than 1000 guests from all over the worlds, showed up and this was a good sign that the news was surely travelling far and wide making the fashion and design field to become even more popular among the students (Heather 2008). This year’s fashion shows was supposed to become even more interesting since the organization had planned to hire some trained models from the best fashion houses to hold a competition with some of the universities’ best models. With this strategy, the student’s self esteem was built and it gave them the confidence to be able to be able to stand up tall and achieve all their goals in life. In at least five weeks before the fashion shows started, a total of 200 garment, textiles and some other important materials that were to be presented in the event, were presented to the juries so that they could evaluate if they were worth being displayed to experts in the fashion industry. From these samples only 75 of them were left for the runaway and at least 35 pieces for the galley where the distinguished guests would be able to closely examine the pieces and the construction details. Some of these pieces were really not finished but the students just had to determine all the props and general display structures that were needed for the fashion show event to be a real success. Most of the students had to be their own designers, since it was their duty to come up with the most creative displays that would work to attract the attention of their fellows students into joining this career path. Some of the students took a lot of their time trying to come up with the best items to display on that even (Tim 2006). Some of the students who participating took some of their time to visit the fashion galley, so that they could pick out some of the outstanding props that they would need for the show. Once the shows were over, the whole gallery would be loaded to the trucks and taken to the Human ecology department in the university. The textile and apparel Design faculty was proven to have really played an important role behind the scene in always making every fashion show event to bed a success at all cost. The very generous donors also played a very important role in ensuring that the event would be a success both to the students and to the entire institution (Heather 2008).
