The risks of drug experimentation
The risks associated with drug experimentation are high despite the sensitization campaigns. Experimenting with drugs is a dangerous phenomenon that could lead to disastrous health consequences. As experts in the health sector point, drug experimentation is a risky procedure, which interferes with the normal functioning of the human body. When drug experimentation is conducted on the human body, the results could be disastrous as the end effects of the drugs cannot be ascertained in the short run. A number of campaigns against drug experimentation have been conducted without success. Despite the efforts of preventing the drug experimentation menace, drug experimentation continues to be a big challenge.
The first risk associated with drug experimentation is short term and long-term health problems. Drug experimentation could lead to disastrous health effects to an individual. For example, when a person takes drugs, which he or she is not sure about, the probability of acquiring health complications is at an all time high. When there is intake of drugs, the human body reacts depending on the nature of the drugs. In this case, the body could face problems with regard to negative effects of drugs on the body system. As experts in the field of human anatomy contend, the body is very sensitive and reacts to any foreign substances. The question of introducing new drugs to the body is, therefore, a health risk (Ponton, 1998).
The second risk related to experimenting with drugs is brain malfunction. When new drugs are introduced to the human body, the brain is among the first organs of the body, which detect the changes. The human brain is a very sensitive organ, which could be easily tampered. As mentioned, in the preceding statement, the delicate state of the brain projects a greater risk in terms of the drug experimentation procedure. Cases where a person undergoes brain malfunction abound. In other cases, the victim of drug experimentation was reported to lose focus in terms of exhibiting the right form of thinking. Therefore, drug experimentation is a risky affair that an individual can undertake (Ponton, 1998).
The third risk associated with drug experimentation is influence on the behavior of the victim using drugs. Reports and statistics indicate a growing number of new behavioral patterns among people using drugs for experimentation purposes. In this case, the young people were reported to exhibit new behavioral patterns after taking the drugs. When there is drug intake on a continuous basis, the victim’s body system becomes completely affected. The problem with drug experimentation is that the latter could have dire consequences on the functioning of the victim’s body and could end up distorting the behavioral...
