The Tenth Amendment overview and history
The founding fathers of the United States of America authorized the Tenth Amendment also called Amendment X in December the fifteenth of 1791. The Amendment was suggested in 1789 by the first congress of the US with an aim of cooling antifederalists who fought against excessive and expanded federal powers. It claimed that the Federal government only held those rights given to them in the United States Constitution while all the remaining ones belonged to the States and the citizens. It was aimed at creating a demarcation between the powers of the Federal and the States governments thereby it protected the authorities from both the bodies.
