University Name Entrepreneur Coco Ville Small Chocolate Company Name Course Name and Number Professor Name Paper Due Date Aysha Al Hashimi the founder and the CEO, Coco Ville Company, was born in 1978 in the United States Emirates and was raised in Abu Dhabi. During her time, she was employed once as a banker. Hashimi swapped her job as being a banker only to start her own nutritionist firm. The firm did not run for a long time since Hashimi lacked the right personnel to steer the firm forward by using their experience. She had little knowledge of the nutrition firm, but her idea when she started it was to capture a majority who at the moment was the time when they embraced healthy living (thecocoville.com). Hashimi from the beginning had an interest in chocolate, and she loved chocolate and brownies. It was during 2006 when she decided to convert her desire for the chocolate and brownies to a business idea. These emerged after working five years in the chocolate industry in the United States since 2002. While being employed in the chocolate firm she realized that the taste of chocolate was everywhere, and everybody was craving for it regardless of their age. That guaranteed her of a broader customer base. Some of the customers who came where she was coming, it was promised that will come tomorrow and the day after. Chocolate is a product that will always have market regardless of the season either may it be winter or even summer. The product can also be used to develop a wide variety of other edible products like cakes. Therefore, starting a firm dealing with chocolate will forever stand and will have consumers at any one time of the year. Having started a nutrition firm and failed, she was very assured that the chocolate firm will survive and will do well. It was because she had the skills and experience required in running the firm as opposed to the nutrition firm that she had less knowledge that contributed to its failure. So far, she had made friends with many consumers in the chocolate firm that she was previously working, and she was sure some of her customers would follow her up. With all those strengths, she was ready and sure of running a successful chocolate firm in Dubai, United States. She started Coco Ville in 2007 and employed one of her friend who they were working with together in the chocolate industry (thecocoville.com). Their goal was to produce good chocolate products to ensure that their customers are satisfied which was the first priority. Hashimi has learned many things regarding to handle a customer so that they can come back. The most and important thing she knew was that a happy consumer will always come back again, and he or she will not come back alone. That is why Hashimi focused so much on the customer satisfaction. She knew that the good testimonials from her customers will mainly steer the business forward. That led her to successfully running the Coco Ville firm and currently the business has grown and has employed forty-two individuals. The firm mainly distributes chocolate and brownie products in wholesale and also in retail throughout the United States. The firm is focused on satisfying its customers with the chocolate products that it produces. There are so many reasons that contribute to the start of any business whether being big or small. Some of the opportunities are as a result of certain challenges that face us daily; hence we develop a business idea (Amar Bhide, 1994, p. 155). Some others copy ideas from other successive businesses and tend to implement them. The latter gives competition to the existing businesses hence posing a threat to them. Other entrepreneurs interview people living in a certain area to hear their needs. When they realize that people really needs the service they set a business offering the service to the people. From my side, I decided to interview a small business by the name Coco Ville, which is situated in Dubai. It deals with different kinds of chocolates and brownies. It offers them in wholesale like in weddings and others events. The reason behind for invention was after many years of its owner working with chocolate they found it so fascinating because of its sweet and sacred treat. These together with the so much advice concerning it and also the information about it. A majority of the people like it and can eaten many times as you wish. (The Role of Small and Large Businesses in Economic Development, p. 90) It can be eaten by anybody despite their age since it is tastier and sweet. Moreover, most cakes are baked using chocolate for decoration, and it has variety of uses. Chocolate can be molded into so many blends that will be looked at the part of the type of product. Thus, it offers a wide market worldwide and thus makes an opportunity. Coco Ville is one chocolate firm that is doing well in the United States with a promised good future. The firm has been expanding since its formation since Hashimi had employed the right entrepreneurial skills in running the firm. Hashimi will stop at nothing to see the success of her firm. The firm has a bright future particularly with these baby boomer generation. The baby boomer generation has the like for chocolate products, and they have money. What they just need is the products that will satisfy them and which they will always go for them (Amboise, G. and Muldowney, M., 1988, p. 231). Hashimi has extended the functioning of her firm by even accepting orders of distributing her products during weddings and other events. Somebody is just required to order for the products that she or he needs which are delivered during the event by Coco Ville employees. They even have gone to an extent of serving the clientele in the events. These have made the business to be popular even beyond the boundaries of the United States as the best firm of chocolate and brownie products. Coco Ville has also launched its official website where one can order for the products they want online. With this generation of advancement in technology, we realize they mostly do not go out for shopping. Instead they do the shopping online where they order the products that they want which are later delivered to them (Barbara Czarniawska and Rolf Wolff, 2000, p. 539). In its official website, Coco Ville provides the menu for thier customers with the good prices for the different products that they offer. Coco Ville Handmade Fine Chocolate deals with different blends of chocolates and brownies. For example it specializes in Chocolate slabs crunchy hazelnut, Chocolate slabs salt sea caramel, Chocolate slabs sparkle pop, Chocolate slabs popcorn, Brownie, Chocolate hazelnut spread, Thick chocolate drink, fudge, Hot chocolate stick, Cocoa nibs chocolate slab, and Assorted chocolate slab. A majority of the product from the organization are chocolate made that are fast moving products. Coco Ville offers services to many events by providing and supplying them with their chocolate and brownie blends. The events include weddings, birthdays, cowgirl parties, and preparing for their customers Coco Ville Chocolate Stations. They are committed to creating beautiful chocolates where the approach is just consulting for specific requirements, theme and personalities which allow them to create something truly unique and memorable. They believe that favors come in all shapes and sizes (Bechard, J. and Toulouse, J., 1991, p. 8). They give different shapes to gifts that you may want to present to your guests and loved ones. Usually, they can give starting from mini-boxed shaped chocolates, children’s chocolate lollies and confections to our deluxe chocolate banqueting with silver service. (Small Business Administration, p. 66) For any entrepreneur business to succeed in the market, they must put into consideration some four themes that are relevant to succession. The themes of the opportunity business model together with their drivers and dimensions are very essential in the entrepreneurial businesses. These include the impact on the group resources, task behavior, the maintenance process, and the team member’s effects and their personal integration into the enterprise (Boussouara, M. & Deakins, D., 1999, p. 211). The top management team resources theme is based on a particular argument that the fundamental resources, skills, and knowledge are mainly needed in order for the business to operate as a team and successfully in the market. When it comes to the knowledge and experience, it becomes very crucial for the entrepreneurs in running their businesses. By possessing the knowledge of the industry where the business will function is essential to the success of the business (Chan, K.F. & Lau, T., 1993, p. 365). Those entrepreneurs with an experience of working within a particular industry often bring their knowledge of the industry operation to their business. These becomes particularly imperative when the small firm reaches that size where competition in the wider market cannot be avoidable. That knowledge and skill help the business to have healthy competition since the owner is conversant with practical decision-making processes that they learned during their operation in the other industries. In the case of Coco Ville, we have seen that Aysha had worked in the chocolate industry before establishing her firm. Such skills like learning how to give her customer the satisfaction they need for her to retain them who makes her business to move forward. These have made the Coco Ville business to grow and to have a bright future where promised growth is assured (William J. Baumol, 1990, p. 18). She also learned how to involve creativity in producing the chocolate products. These involve just playing around with the chocolate shapes and sizes. Social capital is a primary proposition of the theory of capital that states that the network of the relationships mainly ...
