1.1 Health and safety considerations.
Time outside improves mental wellbeing and self-esteem. It reduces obesity as children that learn to love the outdoors continue to do so in adult life. Health consideration include; caution must be taken against likely injuries, bites from insects and other vermin, and various forms of infections. Also, care must be taken against noise pollution and interferences from passersby.
2.0 Location 1 – Forest School
Forest school provides a quiet and serene environment, which is without disturbances from the noise emanating from motor vehicle traffic. Also, it provides a live exhibit of trees and animals which could be the subject of discussion.
According to Morrier and Ziegler (2018 p. 69) Forest School fosters sense of friendship among learners. Besides, forest school encourages positive attitudes towards learning. In addition, outside learning increases a sense of active imagination. It has been found by research that learners who spent outside are much happier than those who spent indoors.
Health safety regulations: teachers must conform to set regulations in as far learning environments are concerned. For instance, location one has lots of insect bites which could be harmful causes of infections. Besides, the weather conditions could limit the learning sessions. Also, natural barrier such as availability of bees could interfere with learning.
