Introduction
My experience in the field of sales originates from my childhood dreams. My career began with my educational experience in various capacities. The major subjects that supported my excellence include commerce, mathematics, and English. These subjects allowed me to maneuver the requirements for the position of salesperson. Academically, most people believed that passion for business enables an individual to become one of the best managers in the corporate world. In college, diploma in business management and administration served as the preliminary certification of my education. My aim was to acquire the knowledge necessary to potentiate my business management career throughout the career. At this level, I became more passionate about my job because it gave me the satisfaction required in life. The review of my career and an action plan will provide an insight on the goals and achievement of my goals.
Career Goals
Long-term Goals
My long-term career goals range from educational, job-related, and environmental related aspects. Educationally, I have a goal of obtaining a Master’s degree in marketing.After my degree, I would like to enroll in one of the universities and acquire a masters in marketing. This venture will enable the optimization of my passion for sales and marketing. I also have a goal of enrolling in other courses such as business management to ensure that I am competent both in marketing and management.
In terms of career, my long term goals are becoming the chief marketing officer of a major global corporation such as Hyundai Motor Company. In the corporation, my goal is to become an effective business manager that promotes unity and capitalizes on the current gaps in the business. Another goal is to establish a mentoring program for upcoming individuals in the field of marketing. Finally, I would love to start my company and implement my knowledge in marketing and management towards its success. This venture is through my passion of becoming my own boss and devising sales strategies with little friction.
Another goal relates to my environment as an employee. I would like to impact positively on the society through the promotion of a feasible business environment. I would like to have a family that supports and promotes my passions. The family would compose of my children that consider me a figurehead and a proper father in the society. Therefore, my goal is managing the relationships in life and linking it to my managerial skills.
Short-term Goals
My short-term goals are the completion of all the courses required in the certification of sales and marketing. The degree is one of the short-term goals I anticipate to fulfill in the short-term. Another short-term goal is to network with other sales representatives in the field in order to familiarize with their experiences in the fields. This will be achieved through the registering into a mentorship program that will allow me to interact with the professionals. Another short-term goal is to acquire the skills and knowledge that is necessary in the implementation of the career of a salesperson. Another short-term goal is to excel in the academic field and obtain excellent grades that will foster my ability to remain competitive in the field of sales. Finally, my goal is to familiarize and optimize technological aspects of sales and marketing.

Strengths
Personally, my strength is the motivation towards success. In my life, success and winning have been my major goals. The achievement of these strengths have been promoted by the relationship skills and hard work. My major relationship strength is being a team player and respecting every colleague. I am a team player who values the input of other individuals towards the collective achievement of goals. The group initiatives are promoted through my intuitive value and respect of the contributions of other individuals towards a collective objective. I believe that achievement is a collective role that incorporate the input from different quarters. Furthermore, my relationship skills are promoted through interacting with other students in different capacities. For example, the group assignments that are handed out in class require the input of all the group members. In my capacity, I ensure that I contribute towards these ventures because they are a learning tool towards the achievement of personal, as well as organizational goals.
As a student, I have acquired the strength of self-motivation towards the optimization of time and resources in achieving my goals. In all endeavors, my main determination is success and optimal performance. Optimal performance requires the passion and motivation. As an individual, I work hard to ensure that I achieve my goals. I incorporate both creativity and learned skills in achieving goals. As a student, I have a determination of becoming the most successful salesperson. To achieve this, the motivation of learning technology tools has made me competent. For example, technology has allowed the learning about the market environment by maximizing on the social media as a profound marketing tool. In my capacity, I have optimized my technological skills through the knowledge of social media tools such as Facebook, twitter, Instagram, Skype, and WhatsApp. The knowledge of these forums originates from the number of potential customers that use these devices. Therefore, technological knowledge is one of my major career strengths.
Another strength I possess is the ability to learn and effective communication skills. I am a fast-learner because of my high curiosity levels. Adapting to new environments is one of the major personal strengths. Being outgoing, interaction with different people enables me to learn from them. This trait has allowed me to navigate and adapt different new environments in a very short time. This strength will allow me to navigate the changes at the workplace and also fee part of a team. My communication skills are also excellent because of fluency and knowledge of a variety of languages. Self-expression is easier to me because it is a natural trait I possess. I connect easily with other people in terms of group objectives.
Areas of Improvement
However, there are areas of improvement in my career as at the moment. Feedback from the parties I have interacted with show that I am a perfectionist. This characteristic has made most of my team members raise concerns towards achievement of team goals. They presume me to be too aggressive and always motivated towards winning. When I lose, I tend to get withdrawn because of the possibility of demoralization. I sometimes takeover the work of other people kin the urge to achieve perfect performance. The individuals that do not conform to the objectives are likely to create antagonism because they feel inadequate around me.
I also lack the ability to connect easily on a social basis in the workplace. Despite my outgoing tendency, I usually feel nervous interacting on a social basis. However, interacting on a professional basis portrays my outgoing and aggressive character towards achieving goals. I also lack the time and resources that would allow me to pursue all the career goals I require. For example, I would like to learn some foreign languages to make me a global salesperson. However, time is limiting because I am a student. Despite these weaknesses and threats, the opportunity of development is a motivating factor towards the achievement of my goals as a salesperson.
