Introduction
Luxury marketing is one field of study that has a distinct way of communicating. A considerable number of people have thought that it adopts a general strategy in communication, and they have gone wrong in writing. In this case, it should be noted that the luxury marketing falls into two categories in which the writing could happen. In the process of communication in luxury marketing, a person may choose to undertake the business writing, or, conversely, to undertake the academic category. While writing in the business marketing may be trendy and free in its flow, the academic writing in luxury marketing is clear and involves the presentation of facts about a situation. The undertaking means that two different strategies in the presentation of luxury marketing can be different in the form of the communication that it presents in the market. In most circumstances one may fail present the right piece of work because they tend to generalize writing with the assumption that competence in the language one can have in a given field can be termed to be a general category for all spheres of writing. Therefore, the competence in writing in luxury marketing tends to be unique in its presentation of ideas and the style as compared with the English discipline which seem not to portray such aspects. In the modern competitive market, luxury brands need to be associated with clients in more inventive routes. With standard brands pushing up into the premium classification and customary extravagance style and extras brands moving into the sector of mass market. That is why it can be said that it implies that genuine extravagance needs to separate itself cunningly and particularly to hold its prestige.
Methods
In order to explore communication in luxury marketing, the information about the experts in the communication can be used to explore the aspects of luxury in communication. This calls for the need to explore the various aspects of the language used in luxury marketing so that a clear understanding of any differences that could exist between the aspect of luxury marketing and other form of communication. Although there are experts who have experience writing in the field of luxury marketing, and to make it well understood, I sought to find one of them to ask about the main ideas under this subject. I sorted information from my luxury marketing professor who I knew had written some materials in the field, and I administered a structured interview on him.
I also discovered that experts in the field of luxury marketing tend to use passive voice more so then other disciplines. Passive voice means that they create a sentence where there is no subject. So a passive sentence would be something like ‘a decision was made to reposition the Louis Vuitton brand’. This statement was from the interview which was conducted with the luxury marketing professor. It’s not even that it’s in the past tense, it’s that there is no subject: who is making the decision? It’s saying that the decision was being made on a global scale versus saying the CEO or founder made the decision. They do not use it a lot but in other disciplines they do not tend to do that.
In addition, I also realized that this discipline tends to value both a blend of empirical academic writing which can be inters of research papers based on experiments as well as applied or business writing which include proposals or even the projects at large. You are not going to see as much as creative writing done within the marketing discipline except for maybe in an actual advertisement. Experts in the field of luxury marketing value making the actual advertisement that is perceived as an art. And that’s as far as they go as far as creative writing and everything else is more academic and more technical. This creativity is mainly achieved through selective use of words and symbols to be used in the advertisement.
On the other hand, I wanted to get some deeper understanding of the learning process in the case of understanding why people learn a general form of education. Thus, I considered the article about learning English for the academic purpose. Furthermore, I did attempt in understanding the way of how people apply language in their communication and exploration of the issue of teaching the language to the indigenous. The articles were important in understanding why people use language in the certain ways and why the lack of competence in communicating compares with it. In the development, the communication has been important because it had informed the importance of the context in learning the language.
I considered the Australian journal of language and literacy for the case of teaching language to indigenous people since it had offered the insight on learning of language and its usage in communication. The other source I considered in the research about the use of language was the professional development collection that offered the information about the transition of the people in their qualification to use knowledge. The professional development collection addresses the use of language at a higher level in which people have specialized in using it. The level indicates a level that is beyond the elementary learning that could influence the learning.
Theoretical Framework and Literature Review
Bartholomew (135-137) has highlighted that the competence use of language in any field is dependent on the learning through which people go. The attainment of literacy competence depends on the interactions that happen in the course of interaction between people in the same group. In focusing on the similar aspect of the life, Porter (36-38) argues that a word cannot be autonomous of the context. According to the ideology, the context of the communication determines the kind of words one uses to communicate. Porter argues that a text that a person uses in communication is understandable from the relationship it has with the other words. The analysis is imperative for the assessment of the various usage of the language in specific context.
It’s is important to note that learning the language for academic purposes has got several implications. The implication of the learning is that people learn the language that could have been applicable in the other contexts of human life, but fail to use the language that’s appropriate in learning. This idea on the use and understanding of language is the implication of language in the right context and is an important undertaking because it facilitates the right meaning. The ability to undertake the right academic discourse in every aspect of the communication could be the measure of the competence.
However even though a lot of effort is put to help to enhance the learning of students in society, not all of achievements are evident. A considerable number of children are performing poorly in their literacy competence. The approach used in the training of children and strategy for communication in society has seen some impairment that had happened in communication.
The Department of Education and Training has overlooked a significant quantity of important details about learning such as, it is impossible to succeed without training. The training approach has overlooked the competence of the majority of indigenous students to the point that is poorer than that of their non-indigenous counterparts. The Department of Education and training needs to consider various factors that affect the quality. In the assessment of the same idea of competence in literacy, It is important to note that focus on disciplinary discourse has been one of ways that had affected the quality of learning because it has overlooked the situation of learning of general competencies that could be important to people. The shared features of language can be important in learning language through the synthesis of ideas and contextualizing them in specific disciplines.
