THE PILGRIMAGE TO MECCA
According to Ahmed (2011), the Hajj is the title given to the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia and bears the largest mass gathering world wide. Every able bodied Muslim who is able to afford is necessitated to make a Hajj at least once in life. This ceremony occurs from the 8th to the 12th of Dhu al- Hijja which is the final month in the Islamic calendar. Since their calendar is usually lunar, the Hajj timing differs each year. The Muslims who attend these ceremonies usually follow several procedures which are usually laid out including stoning of the devil in the whole process.
SADDAM HUSSEIN
Saddam who was born in 1937 became a dictator in Iraq. He is best known for the invasion of the Kuwait in 1990 which resulted to the Persian Gulf war of the 1992. (Biography, 2010) His downfall came as an effect of the Iraqi war which had been started by the US in early 2003. After this moment, he stood for the trial on crimes against humanity of which he was found guilty and sentenced to death. He was later executed in the year 2006 on December 30.
AKIO TOYODA
The Wall Street Journal (2013) gives some history of the President of the Toyota Motor Corp. Mr. Toyoda was born in 1956 and went ahead to pursue a law degree and also obtain a Masters Degree. His career in Toyota since 1984 has included postings in all the phases of the automotive operations such as production, marketing as well as development of the products. Throughout his time at Toyota, he has moved up the ranks and through all the echelons to become the president of the huge corporation known as TMC.

Pope Joan was believed to have been a female pontiff who reigned over the Roman Catholic church and used the name of a man John Anglicus to go around where she disguised herself as a man. Her cover was blown when she gave birth to a child and it resulted to her immediate stoning to death. Her reign was for a short duration of time in the mid 800s
WINSTON CHURCHILL
The Rt. Honourable Winston Churchill was the son of Lord Randolph Churchill and he got his education at Harrow and Sandhurst. He joined the army briefly but became a conservative member of parliament in 1900. (Nobelprize, 2013) In both the Liberal and conservative governments, he held different positions in the first three decades. In 1940 he became the prime minister and minister of defense up to 1945. Winston was conferred by the Queen Elizabeth II the dignity of Knighthood. He was also granted by the United States President Kennedy in 1963 a honorary citizenship which was also a notable honour he was accorded.

THE AMAZON RAIN FOREST
This rainforest gives inhabitant to the largest rain forest on the planet. The basin assumes the size of 48 states in the US and covers roughly 40% of the South American Continent. Some of the countries involved include Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador. (Butler, 2010). Depicting past human influence as well as environmental conditions, the Amazon comprises a mosaic ecosystem as well as vegetation types that include rainforests, seasonal forests, deciduous and flooded forests. The source of drainage for the basin is the Amazon river which is the largest river in the World in terms of discharge and the second longest worldwide after the Nile. The system of the river appears as the lifeline of the forest and the history it bears contributes immensely to the development of the rainforests.
SAMBA DANCE
The Samba dance (Brazil style) has been seen as a tradition or custom. It is seen as the heart and soul of the music countrywide. This is a Brazillian dance whose roots date back to the 19th century. (celebratebrazil, 2013) The Samba was originally a solo dance but through the years, some partner samba dance have evolved. The popular Carnivore in Rio de janeiro is known for dancing of the samba through the streets. It’s a quick dance bearing lots of fun as well as rhythm which naturally makes the feet and body want to be in motion. The dancers who are proficient in doing this are known as Sambistas.
IGUANAS
Green Iguanas are said to have originated from the Central and South America. Their range usually extends over a wide geographical area spanning form southern Brazil, Bolivia to Southern Mexico. (Lever, 2003) Mature iguanas are in most cases herbivores which feed on a variety of leafy plants, flowers as well as ripe fruits. These leaves from over 100 different species of plants are consumed. The diet occasionally includes particular animal material as the lizards, insects and other small animals, eggs and nestling birds. (Kern, 2009) Their Juveniles are known to consume much more animal material than their adult counterparts especially insects. Hatchling green iguanas feed on the droppings of the adult ones to obtain the gut bacteria necessary for the digestion of plant material.

CARNEGIE
According to Bucknell (2008), Carnegie was a born philanthropist as well as industrialist. He was famed as the founder of the Carnegie Steel Company which launched operations in Pittsburgh. His major contributions are well known especially to intellectual causes and efforts in establishing international standards geared towards peace. He lived a life dedicated to philanthropy. His company Carnegie steel company was sold to J.P Morgan for $480 million. In his entire livelihood, he followed his own plans and most of his income was shed off either through trusts and donations. Seven different philanthropic organizations in the US were found which included the Carnegie Corporation of New York
VANDERBILT
According to McNamara (2011) Vanderbilt became the wealthiest man in America in the mid nineteenth century through a dominance on the country’s transportation. Commencing with only one boat, he was able to build an empire. Upon his death in 1877 his fortune was in excess of $100 million. He was a legendary figure and the ability to succeed in business was often attributed to his ruthless and callous nature as well as the ability to work harder which catapulted him further. Throughout his livelihood, Vanderbilt was a very hardworking man who took each opportunity and capitalized on it which made him get to the point he was and even pushed him further up the scale.
