Introduction
In many societies, child abuse is considered to be one of the most silent-killers of a humane upright growing up of children. This is to imply that the actual personality of a grown human being is greatly affected by the kind of environment they were subjected to during their childhood. To be more specific, child abuse has contributed to a society where adults portray very weird behaviors, some calling for psychological help. This has been clearly depicted through the development of mental institutions which deal with psychological health issues which trace their roots back to early years of growth and development.
Child Abuse Definition
From a definition point of view, child abuse is considered to be any practice or activity which subjects a child to physical mistreatment with an inclusion of any act of sexual molestation. This definition covers two crucial aspects of child abuse which include physical abuse and sexual molestation. With respect to such activities, any child who faces any form of the described abuse is negatively impacted when it comes to their normal growth and development. Eventually, this child develops other forms of psychological illnesses such as stress and depression which, in most cases leads to instances of suicide (Lipovsky and Dean 430-431).
