Research Methodology and Methods
Introduction
Organizations are entitled to carry out business research to understand the existence of problems within an industry and develop feasible solutions. It entails using necessary research methods to conduct a study and provide conclusions related to the findings generated at the end of the investigation. Business research facilitates the development of a research methodology and methods, which are considered as systematic and scientific procedures containing various steps to solve a significant research problem within a given context. For this reason, Starbucks must conduct an in-depth business research process to help it generate a feasible environmental strategy towards becoming a resource-positive firm. Each strategy must be researched independently to validate its application. One of the strategies CEO Kelvin Johnson proposes is the "shift from single-use to reusable packaging," which forms the basis of this research methodology.
Therefore, this research aims at developing a better understanding of consumer behavior and incentives to encourage the use of reusable containers, which is a basis for committing to sustainability. It will provide the research philosophy, approach, and strategy adopted for the research methodology and discuss the data collection and analysis and the ethical considerations to obtain practical findings. The following research questions will guide this process:
