My Life Story Growing up and How it has Shaped Me
I was born and raised in Foshan, Guangzhou, a city with a population of approximately 7.2 million. Growing up in this part of China I did not have the privilege of interacting with people from different economic backgrounds and ethnic groups. Therefore, I kept mostly to myself. I have a 3-year-old brother, thus, growing up I was an only child. In my younger years, I developed an introverted persona which is something I can attribute to living a solitary life. Owing to their passion for children, my parents were running a kindergarten school which has grown into a preschool.
In addition to teaching me, my parents have always been very supportive of my interest in sports especially badminton. I discovered my love for the game when my parents took me to learn badminton at the age of 7. I fell in love with the game the first day of training and from hence forth, I knew that I wanted to play the game even in old age. My parents were supportive and encouraged me to continue pursuing this game which is something I still do even today. However, I transformed this passion from a hobby to a profession. I attend badminton matches several times, and I believe badminton has changed me in such a major way that would otherwise not have happened without the game. Today, I am more outgoing and, I have plenty of friends from my badminton team.
