My Experience on a Service Learning Project at St. Antony Catholic
Integrating service-learning into the educational curriculum is important for preparing learners to put into practice their theoretical knowledge. Service-learning projects help students acquire learning-based experience that enables them to create links between theory and practice. Reflections on experiences of a service-learning project are important in higher education because they help students in clarifying their preparations and expectations (Lin, 2021).
Globalization has played an important role in the economic development of the world (Bailey, 2015). This is because new knowledge and technologies have been introduced into new places. This has enhanced productivity and service delivery in business organizations. The Catholic Church in its social teaching on economic globalization condemns the biting issues of inequality, and widespread poverty in business policy-making (Greenmann, 2012).
