I consider media to be the most important agent of socialization. The reason is that media expansion has drastically altered the atmosphere in which children are reared. Digital media introduces youngsters to new learning possibilities and broadens the variety of situations they encounter (Prot et al., 2015). Social interaction is no longer confined to the impact of relatives, friends, and others in a child's local environment.
Many adolescents indicate that they never receive adequate sexual awareness from their parents or institutions. This is among the reasons why the media considerably influences the sexual socialization of most teenagers (Strasburger, 2005).
