Children Behavior and learning Activities
According to Brian and Mukherji (2005), at four children are aware of their environment, they contribute to their environment by responding appropriately to the environment they are in. Children at age of six can use symbols and carry out operations mentally as a result, they begin to develop self confidence, thus they try to do a lot of things, and sometimes they may not succeed in those things and this result to frustration.
Three to four year olds learn by interacting and exploring their environment, especially through play.
A motor skill activity for three and four years old for language learning would be: Put candies in a jar of sand, ask the children to run in pairs as they compete and search for the candies from the sand in the jar.
Seven year olds motor skill activity for language learning, children work in pairs to make necklaces using beads.
A cognitive activity for language learning for five to six year old would be: Unstructured play, whereby children play in a group, a teacher can guide the children in identifying a play setup, for example a family, where children take roles of parents and children.
