Globalization is the term used to describe the rising interdependence of the globe’s populations, cultures, and economies, brought about by cross border commerce in goods and services, technology, information, people, and flows of investment (Mir et al., 2015). Countries have established economic associations to promote these movements over several years. Globalization gained recognition after the Cold War in the 1990s, as these cooperative plans molded present-day life (Haynes et al., 2017). Globalization has become an ever more powerful architect of the international system and security. Various analysts document its effect on the transformations of the relations among countries. The leading industrialized nations are playing the role of subjects in this new paradigm shift, while most of the remaining countries are turning into objects that are moving on the waves of financial-economic advancements (Heath, 2019). Aforesaid, this paper discusses whether globalization is a benefit or disadvantage to the international system by highlighting its influence on global security and states across the globe.
