* Location: Parkwood district of the City of Canning is a suburb in Southeastern Perth, Western Australia. It is within the City of Canning Local Government Area (LGA), situated south of Ferndale and Southwest Lynwood. Parkwood is 10 kilometers away from the CBD, Perth.
* Size: Parkwood suburb rests on an approximately 3.61 square kilometers land area.
* Current and previous uses: Parkwood was used for modern development between 1976 and 1986. It is currently a residential suburb. Houses and other buildings of contemporary designs have been developed in the suburb to help accommodate the growing population in the capital city.
* Existing buildings: Parkwood district has 2554 dwellings with an average household size of 2.53. These buildings accommodate the 6032 population as of the 2016 census count. Of the 2554 dwellings, 2334 are private dwellings, while the other 220 are unoccupied private dwellings.
* Structures: significant structures in the suburb are larger, detached, or separate. They are also developed to reflect market opportunities or planning policy, e.g., building around public transport nodes or employment centers.
