Technology has made global connection comfortable and faster. People have many reasons behind connecting with another, and many theories have emerged to crack the influences behind the social concept. The primary concern, however, is whether it is purposeful for people to share their privacy with strangers. Yes, it is beneficial though it is important to segregate who to share with and what to expose as well. People cannot avoid connecting with others and to keep their new relationships alive, they cannot just discuss basic things. As people learn from each other, there is a need to reveal a part of the inner-self to others.
Ideally, social communities benefit an individual in numerous ways. They are avenues that people can search for answers on critical life issues such as romance and get new friends. It is also possible to connect and look for a new job, service referrals, personal advice, and establishing a virtual community with like-minded individuals. Consequently, there is a perceived public benefit, and for the new relations to offer the sought assistance, people must give private details.
Sharing strengthens social interaction and to maintain these relationships and create a notion of individual transparency; people are obliged to expose themselves to a certain level. Another benefit of sharing life is the creation of a worldwide community. At times, the help that people direly need is not present in their immediate environment. The need to expand and evolve pushes an individual to extend their secret base which also makes it easier to get instant personal help.
Another significant benefit of sharing personal information is having a commonality of interest. More like a global community, harmony with people who share common interests is vital for human development. Likewise, it creates a pool where an individual can consult on personal matters which at times are difficult to share with the immediate family. Nevertheless, it is essential to avoid exposing information that causes a public nuisance. Public sharing is also a way to get real-time information in a cheaper way. There are many people out there who are willing to help, but unless they raise an issue, their feedback remains unearthed. People share life due to need, and it should not matter where help will come from if at all is valuable.
Online connection is also a way to keep new relationships for long. People will have numerous ways to remain in touch with others which offer them an archive of valuable experiences.
