Thesis Statement: It is essential to review the significance of biblical covenants and how they influence contemporary leadership.
Introduction
A covenant is an agreement between two parties with obligations imposed on either party or both of them. From the Hebrew viewpoint, a covenant refers to a pledge made between God and his people, the Israelites. God introduced the idea of the covenant to man in the Old Testament. Some of the significant covenants include God’s covenant with Adam (Genesis 1:26-30 ), Noah (Genesis 8:20-9:17), Abram (Genesis 12), when Abram becomes Abraham (Genesis 17), and with Moses (Exodus 19-24). God provided man with the moral terms of the covenant and the option to choose it. In the Middle Ages, the Catholic church theology opted for a worldview approach. The worldview approach brought about conflict with protestants who believed that people could have a direct relationship with God without going through priests: highlighting the role of leadership in the church.2 It is essential to review the significance of biblical covenants and how they influence contemporary leadership. [MUKARRAM SM JAHAN .
