In the present research, the impact of the incentives, employees’ engagement and performance will be assessed to understand the working scenario of the organizational environment and its impact on the performance of the employees.
Background
The business organizations invest 50-60% of the revenue to the employees’ maintenance, retention and incentives. The successful business entities have the consideration towards the rights, wellbeing and motivation to the employees. The reward system of the big and international organizations kept evolving and growing with the business success. The impact of the effective incentives is capable to induce the learning, drive to learn, dedication in the performance of the employees. The success formula for the business is based on the personal and professional interest of the employees. The role of the incentives is grave as the employees have monetary needs and desire to live with elevated life standards which make them to work 8-10 hours every day, so the incentives which can elevate the living standards are valuable for the employees and have significant positive impact on the employees performance (Jaworski, et.al, 2018).
The employees’ engagement at the workplace shows their interest and dedication to the work goals. The lack of employees’ engagement is the depiction of the least interest of the employees in the organization wellbeing and productivity. There are strong evidences that the successful organizations have one common criterion and that is to engage the employees in the work activities, the reward system and incentives are used significantly to attain these purposes. The impact of the employees’ dedication towards the organization when they perceive that organization thinks about them too. This reciprocation of the actions between employees and organizations significantly benefit the both employees and organization too (Amin, et.al, 2020). The motivation of the employees is essential to keep them working for themselves and also for the organization, the predictors of the performance of employees are going to impact on the organization growth, this is the reason that the time of hiring the organizations requires the highly motivated and dedicated employees. The employees work quality is dependent on their perception of the organization towards their wellbeing and wellness. The organizations which neglect the rights and dues of their employees’ loss the competitive strength, either by losing the competitive employees or due to lack of motivation in the employees (Ozioma, et.al, 2017). All these factors will be analyzed by the in the present research to retrieve the valuable information which will help the organizations to motivate their employees effectively.
Significance of Research
The present research has the potential to explore the predictors of the employees’ performance. In the domain of the business the basic building block of the business success is the functionality of the employees. The impact of the employees’ perception and their contribution in the development of the organization is pivotal point (Ozioma, et.al, 2017). The exploration and assessment of the employees’ performance and the factors which can impact their performance will enable the real life business situations to be improved. The practical changes in the organizational strategies will be made with the help of complete comprehension of the hurdles and facilitators of the job performance. This research will serve the practical purposes by providing the insight into the employees’ perception of the incentives, how incentives work and what could be possibly done to improve the growth of the business.
Other than practical significance, the theoretical significance is high as the advent of Covid-19 has changed the people perception; the life styles have been changed. The global business situation has been changed as a recent research on the consumer behavior has showed that the buying preferences of the people has been significantly changed which has impacted on the global trade rate too (Sheth, 2020). Similarly, the present research will show the changed aspects of the employees’ behavior regarding incentives, employees’ engagement and their performance. The crux of the research project is the ability to extract the novel and updated knowledge which can benefit the others. This dissertation will help to the future researchers to replicate the current research to assess the validity and reliability of the current research. It will guide the students to assess the research the business domain to add up valuable information in the existing literature.
Research Objectives
Following research objectives will be assessed through the help of the proposed research:
* To assess the impact of the Incentives on the employees’ performance in the small and medium businesses.

* To assess the relationship of incentives and employees’ engagement with each other.
* To assess of the employees perception towards the incentives, work engagement and their performance.
