Ever since I came of age, I have loved accounting not because of the ease I had in studying it but due to the ideas that come from it. Accounting which is the study of how businesses track their assets and income is the love of my future. I have no doubt in my mind that with the skills and attitudes I have since gathered, I am in a position to handle issues accounts.
My desire to join accounting career has been spurred by the level of intolerance on matters finance and the unnecessary financial wastage evident in both public and private sectors. My commitment is to be part of the solution to these financial challenges. A lot of public money has been lost due to inefficient handling of funds and misappropriation of public resources.
As an accounting student, I look forward to engaging in a wide variety of activities apart from preparing financial statements and recording business transactions. With the recent information technology, computing costs and efficiency would be core to my research while pursuing my studies at the university.
At my other lower levels of education, I did exceptionally well in accounting related subjects such as Mathematics and accounts. With this necessary push, I find it important to pursue the desire of my heart. Accounting brings on board diverse strategies for acquisition, financial development, quality management and tracking financial performance.
As a student, I would learn alot out of the career. The basics of how a business works will be at the centre of my studies. The accounting field offers me stimulating and challenging work that is repeatedly evolving. I look forward to becoming a financial officer who is guided by accounting ethics and ethos.
Accounting displays interesting career opportunities in a number of areas. After securing my bachelor's degree, I am determined to become a Certified Public Accounts (CPA) or Chartered Management Accountant (CMA). Through pursuing accounting course, I would understand better what drives business, dividends and profits in a company.
It is my understanding that an accounting course would help me learn better auditing, management and financial accounting.
