Biography Review
While researching Joseph Kelly’s biography using various books and articles, his life and influences on his country are addressed. This paper is the annotated bibliography that aims at reviewing Joseph Kelly’s biography and things that are interesting about him. It also gives a list of sources that discuss his life and how he participated in in his country and those of his biography.
Joseph Kelly is professor, editor, and scholar of English at College of Charleston. He has a Ph.D. in English from University of Texas, Austin that he received in the year 1992. He is an author of America’s Siege: Charleston, and the Slow March to Civil War and Our Joyce: From Outcast to Icon. He has Masters in Business Administration from University of Dallas. He was born in the year 1962 and his place of residence is South Carolina, Charleston estate.
He edited the book Seagull Reader: Stories in third edition and was published in the year 2014 by W.W. Norton. Joseph Kelly is actively participating in faculty senate. He is a professor of Western Civilization for program of honors. In addition, he was an epic poem co-author about beer drinking when he was pursuing his undergraduate studies. Besides, he has written various articles with critic that he presented for Irish studies at American Conference.

Something I like about this book is that its topics were captivating enough to bring a debate centered by Charleston. This debate was over tragic secession and slavery that affected both the South and the city. Besides, this book gives a new take on culture and Civil war making it inevitable.
Joseph Kelly’s influence on his country is something I am narrowing down for a research topic. His biographical information sources are from the books he edited such as The Seagull Reader: Stories, Our Joyce: From Outcast to Icon and America's Longest Siege: Charleston, Slavery, and the Slow March to Civil War.
