Besides the book is flexible to any course unlike other authors who focus on specific subject making him quite interesting. The author’s book America’s Longest Siege: Charleston, Slavery, and the Slow March toward Civil War is one I have read. Something I like about this book is that its topics were captivating enough to bring a debate centered by Charleston. This debate was over tragic secession and slavery that affected both the South and the city. Besides, this book gives a new take on culture and Civil war making it inevitable.
